Welcome to the group of Systems Biology of Cancer!
The group of Systems Biology of Cancer was established in September 2014 and was funded via the e:Bio-BMBF initiative. We investigate the circadian regulation of tumour-driving mechanisms. The group is highly interdisciplinary and includes both dry lab facilities at the Institute for Theoretical Biology – ITB and wet lab facilities at the Molecular Cancer Research Center of the Charité – MKFZ. We work together with bioinformaticians, physicists, molecular biologists and medical doctors which forms an exciting and fertile scientific environment in the amazing city of Berlin!
We closely collaborate with the Berlin School of Integrative Oncology – BSIO of the Charité Medical University of Berlin and with the European Molecular Biology Laboratory – EMBL. The group members are encouraged to attend lectures, conferences and courses of the BSIO graduate programm and of the EMBL main lab in Heidelberg.
Financing and Affiliation
We are affiliated with the Molecular Cancer Research Center of the Charité Medical University of Berlin – MKFZ, as well as with the Institute for Theoretical Biology – ITB of the Humboldt University and the Charité Medical University of Berlin, and with the Medical School Hamburg – MSH. We acknowledge funding by the following institutions:
